I'm working on a little retell of the ending of the Ruination arc in League of Legends.
Criticism aside, I think it's an incredibly fertile ground for further and in-deep narration, mostly concerning the very last moments of our story coming to an end. There's a lot to catch up and conclude, and it's important to give every character some well deserved space and development.
Fortunately for me, making fanart in comic format, with no narrative constraints nor budget, allows me to add and build up my dearly beloved drama, dialogue and action without having to make cuts or marketable decisions.
I enjoy the idea of Viego being a villain to the end. And as much as he can be "relatable" in a way, it's impossible for me to forget the evil side of him that's been hinted since his release. He's deranged, morally boundless and selfish, he's merciless in his research for his own happiness, regardless of what truth actually is and what happens around me. It's important to focus on this side of Viego's personality, otherwise we'd be missing on a core character aspect and just waste the chance of a very, very good villain arc.
While I don't care for redemption arcs at all, and I don't mind the final conclusion of him being sealed away in Camavor, I think there should have been a stronger build-up to that finale, in order to paint him as a well-rounded character and make everyone around him stand out and take up the hero role (especially poor Akshan, who's not just "the guy who shoots").
I will try my best to continue my retell and update the thread with more art!
