RIFTQUEST (group)

RIFTQUEST is my skinline
I definitely wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the Riftquest skin set. Thanks to them, Crystal Quest had been possible and it opened me up to a whole new world of league-centered possibilities. When the new set came out on PBE, I knew I had to make something. There's a total of 16 people in here, all following the LOL Wiki Fandom page. I know more skins would have fitted as well, like the Tales of Albion and Medieval ones. But that would have upped the game to more than 30 skins and I -- value my life. For now.
Everytime you're playing a Riftquest skin, please be aware you're playing with a piece of my heart.

I'm putting the final result first, so you can witness the slow descent into hell! This piece took around 10 days to complete on/off and that's the LONGEST I ever spent on a collage.

Here we're almost done, storm has passed, there's a color adjustment and some blings added. See Taric? He fucking glitters. And yes, Jayce has no halo because of lack of space. I know. I know.

Shades! I didn't want it to be too dark, yet I needed everyone to have at least some depth. This took AGES to do.

Flats are done, effects are added. We also have a background!

You can see all flats here done, but this is the piece that took the LONGEST. Each character is in a separate, labelled level. I want to die.

A more convincing lineart. It's hard when you also have to draw characters you don't like, those always come out awful. But now we can mask and proceed!

This was the initial lineart, which took a good three days to make. The extremes tho bugged me a lot, so I spent an awful amount of time correcting things that didn't fit.

Now that's a more balanced positioning sketch, now Taric is in a semi-centered position and everyone is displayed evenly. Should have thought it sooner!

I only have a very aesthetic picture of it, but the initial positioning sketch was very uneven, possibly because I didn't think this as a whole piece to begin with. Something felt -- off, so I kept deleting and adding.

IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THESE TWO. It should have been only these two. But I didn't plan shit on this, and Jayce's body was being hell, it felt awful. So when in doubt --- ADD MORE CROWD TO MAKE THE UNWANTED PARTS DISAPPEAR!!
