I was called to illustrate one of their amazing tweets, and OH MY GOD IS THIS A COMPLEX BACKGROUND I SEE?
Crazy right? Well, being Italian helped with this one, the city of Corbel is loosely based off Venice! (I'm sure you guessed).
"Erebos is home to a variety of festivals, and revelers in masks are a common sight.
Therein lies a unique opportunity for those who would rather remain concealed to move unseen through the carnival streets, be they human or otherwise...."

...and in the end, the first image would remain showing masked people celebrating in total mystery, while the image below shows the city streets ruined and crumbled after the war. Here's the background lines!
Then we tried to show masked and unmasked humans all together...
The initial idea was to have people in the first image masked and then have them unmasked showing various monsters among humans.
