Wild Card (cover)

This is the cover for my Tarots of Legend mini artbook - featuring the card master himself, and Bilgewater's favorite Sex Symbol.
For this one I wanted to make a spooky ambient, something you'd definitely find through the backdoor of a honky-tonk on the docks.
The final cover will have gold foil details to make it even more precious!

Now this is the spooky bilgewatian atmosphere I was looking for. Bridge anyone?

Tuned but still too warm and too light

Dulled colors for best performance and a few more details.

Simple flatcolors - definitely too colorful!

Lineart done - levelled to numb some of the blacks during coloring.
