For Love (comic)
The Visual Novel that was playable in the League client during the Ruination event sometimes lacked meaning and depth in certain parts, at least to my taste, so I've been trying to focus on a few scenes I'd love to retell.
The scene where Vex confronts Viego about causing the ruination "only for love" was really lacking. Instead of playing the silvertongue, Viego just tries to make Vex stay by "telling her about the plans he has in store" - plans that, on second thought, the reader will never know about nor will most definitely happen, since we all know how Viego ends up.
Instead of putting the usual villain "with bigger secret plans" cliché in play, I thought that both Viego and Vex are too smart to be drafted like this - and I tried to have Viego convincing Vex that doing things "for love" isn't lame (or ugh, the worst word in the world, NORMIE, which is possibly the LOWEST point in the script) but is, instead, a very legitimate door for chaos.

textless version - since this one was done very quickly, you can easily spot the areas where balloons were placed and I avoided coloring under them.
textless version - page three of this project is probably one of the best I colored so far. I only used THREE brushes for this project, and one of them is the standard big round solid brush.
Lineart! Instead of my usual pencil-styled texture brush, I used a plain one to give that sharp, almost vectorial look.
I didn't go for a very precise lineart for this project and kept it sketchy, mostly because of lack of time but I sort of generally like it in the end

I redrafted page three a million times, but I wanted to use panels with a meaning for that page and picked the characters that fitted most. Also page 4 has probably one of my BEST Viegos ever.
